This page addresses commonly asked questions and what you need to know about boarding with us at Burstwick Kennels
Does my dog need to come for a trial before boarding?
We require your dog to come in for a trial to assess whether the kennel environment is suitable for them. Not all dogs like boarding so we like to meet them beforehand to see how they get on.

What vaccinations does my dog need before boarding?
Dogs need to be fully vaccinated against Distemper, Parvovirus, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza and Kennel Cough.
We will also accept a recent titre test which shows which shows validity for the boarding period.
A photo of vaccination cards/ certificates must be uploaded to our booking system, or brought in for us to make a copy before your pets stay.
Do I need to bring my dog’s own food?
We prefer you to bring your dogs own food as this minimises stomach upsets during their stay. Otherwise we provide Harringtons biscuits.
We have fridge/freezer space available for raw feeders.
What time is drop off and pick-up for boarders?
Our drop off times are: 9am, 10am and 4pm
Our pick up times are 9am,10am and 4pm
Please note that 4pm collection incurs an extra charge.
Collections and drop-offs cannot be made outside of these times as we are busy playing, feeding and caring for dogs.
Can I bring my dogs own bedding?
We encourage you to bring your dogs own blankets to help them settle in and feel at home. We will provide bedding if you’d like to leave yours at home.
If a dog displays destructive behaviour we may remove bedding, and we cannot be responsible for bedding that is damaged by the dogs.
Can you administer my dogs medication?
We are happy to cater for dogs recieving medication. Please provide full details of any medications and medical conditions before your dogs stay with us.
How can I check-in on my pet during their stay?
We post photos of our boarders regularly on our Facebook page. We also aim to provide an update via our online booking system during your dogs stay. Log in and check the ‘activity’ section on your dogs profile.
